Описание к видео The cheap copy that made a company great. Vintage restoration of Seiko's most important watch!

Did Seiko clone a Swiss movement? I believe this watch was a turning point in Seiko's history. Join me on this journey through Seiko's history as we take a look at the repair and restoration of this 1950's Seiko unique.

I've included the making of a very nice ostrich leg strap in this video, handmade of course. Let me know what you think about this and Seiko in general. I'm a relative newbie to Seiko, so this was an interesting one for me.

The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 21 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo.

Today, after more than 130 years of innovation, Kintaro Hattori’s company is still dedicated to the perfection that the founder always strove to achieve.
