TET Netherlands Day 1 Assen-Enschede Section 1 & 3 | Husqvarna TE 510 Offroad 2023

First day of a two-man riding adventure with camping gear.
Starting on the Dutch TET section 3 east side close to Gieten in Drenthe.
Heading south towards Enschede per TET sections 3 and 1. Around 280 km total.

The adventure started off with preparing the bike and luggage. In the morning moments before setting off. The 450 didn`t start with the electric starter's first problem of the day. Easy fix just use the Kickstarter. With two running engines, we could finally start. Getting to Gieten as soon as possible as the trail was waiting for us. Section 3 was going great familiar tracks for us and very few people on the trail, so the pace was quite good. After the first 50 km, we were stopped close to section 1 of the TET for the first time. I had to select section 1 on my navigation device as I was using Osmand. After a small break, we continued with the TET only instead of going south as planned we went northeast on track 1. Unfortionaly we only realized this after we passed Ter Apel. It was the first time riding this section for both of us. Of course, we should have known better. So, after riding in the wrong direction for about 50 km we stopped for fuel. Only to realize we rode the wrong way for the past hour. We decided to win some time and picked up the TET again close to Hoogeveen. We had lunch in Hoogeveen and joked about how we should have noticed before continuing in the correct direction on the TET again. The problems were not over yet, after some time my front blinker mounts decided to let go. This meant stopping to fix the lights with some tie reps and quickly continuing again. Another problem that started occurring was the starting problem on the 450, the electric starter stopped working all together. From now on it was Kickstart only. By now we passed the halfway point, and the problems kept coming, however. Next was my nav tower which broke due to a big impact. It dropped on the floor luckily, we managed to find it. We decided to take another break, and then a small dog came running towards us barking. He smelled the Gangmakers we pulled from our backpacks, the dog owner came up to us and asked us about our bike and our journey. We only drove for 2 more hours (me without navigation) before the next problem occurred. The only navigation system we had left didn`t charge properly and soon enough it ran out of power. Without navigation, it would obviously not be possible to finish the TET towards Enschede. Fortunately, this was the last issue we encounter this day. Overall, it had been an adventurous day we managed to reach Enschede after about 8 hours and 370 km.
