Fagradalsfjall Volcano ERUPTION - First International Trip to ICELAND!

We embarked on our first international trip together to Iceland in the middle of September. It was a long journey to get there from all the different changing COVID restrictions and regulations. Despite that, we had an incredible time. This beautiful country has a bit of everything, so it's a great destination for any traveler.

For starters, Iceland has volcanoes! For our first Iceland vlog, we hopped straight off the plane, picked up our rental car, and drove straight to the volcano. Fagradalsfjall volcano has been active since March 2021 after lying dormant for 800 years. We couldn't have timed our adventure better because we went on a day where the volcanic activity was high, and visibility was good. We were running on over 24 hours of no sleep and had to hike 6-8 miles on Route B to get to the lava flow. It was no easy task, but it was so worth it!

We were super exhausted after our hike, so we did some grocery shopping on the way to our Airbnb for the night where we were finally able to rest.
