In order to change the timing chain some specialty tools are really helpful. We picked up this toss that on eBay, a lot of the tools we didn’t use, but the tools we did certainly worked well. It might be cheaper to find a set that is specific to your car. The gauge in ours did come broken, we got the chain installed without it and the car ran really well.
