Exporting SOLIDWORKS Environment and Lighting | ciciCONVERT

One of the special features of ciciCONVERT is that it allows you to export the environment and lighting of a SOLIDWORS scene to a gltf or glb file.
But first of all, let me quickly set the scene.
First, let me add the desired HDRI environment using standard SOLIDWORKS functionality.
Then I'm going to add a directional light pointing from the direction of the sun source. This is important if you want to show shadows from the direction of the sun in the final scene.
Go to glb or gltf options.
Enable lights export will instruct the converter to include lights too.
Enable environment map export to include the solidworks scene environment.
Set the desired output map resolution and confirm the selection.
Export the model by clicking on the main glb flyout icon.
See the result in your favourite viewer.
Head back to the options.
If the details of the surroundings are not very important, and the environment map is mainly used for illumination, you can switch on the Roughness Prefilter.
Once again, see the result of prefiltered environment map in your favorite viewer.
