Vikas Dubey has been killed in an encounter in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The encounter broke out after a police vehicle carrying Vikas Dubey from Ujjain to Kanpur met with an accident and the gangster tried to escape. Vikas suffered a few bullets shots and he later succumbed to his injuries. Vikas Dubey has officially been declared dead.

Vikas Dubey is the main accused in the ambush and the killing of eight police personnel in the Kanpur encounter case. Vikas Dubey, who was arrested from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, reached Kanpur from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on Friday morning.
