This video is about the Assam state government is planning to extend the academic year up to March 31. Generally our academic year starts from January to December. As the matriculation examination under state board is held every year around February , so a student appearing the board exam of Class 10 has to wait excess for three months upto February.The Government is thinking about making the academic year same with the Central board for smooth running of academic system in the state. The video discusses about the pros and cons of changing the academic year. However, no final decision has come yet and discussions among the Government,academians and teachers are going on for the final decision.
