Raag Sindhi-Bhairavi belongs to the Bhairavi family of raags. Bhairavi raags are morning raags. They are identified with the female form of Bhairavi, who is described vividly in ancient writings from India. It is considered to be originated from the Sindh culture of the Indo-Pakistani region and is practiced commonly around the same areas, specifically the Punjab region of both India & Pakistan. With the charming notes of raag Sindhi, it takes you to its homeland. It conjures an aura of a that landscape with all its seasons, its traditions, its culture, the dialects. It explicitly creates a web of interrelationships between the audience and performer and take you into an euphoric festive occasion filled with joy and nostalgia.
