At Hsi Lai Temple, compassion means showing up—with our time, our resources, and our hearts.
Last weekend, we partnered with APA Healthcare and University of the West to offer a free health clinic for the local community, providing dental care, health screenings, and wellness education.
Guided by the principles of Humanistic Buddhism, we believe that caring for others starts with meaningful action. When people feel supported—especially when it comes to something as essential as their health—it nurtures not just the body, but also trust, dignity, and connection.
This clinic is more than a service—it’s a reflection of our vow to bring kindness into the world. Through small acts of compassion, we move one step closer to a healthier, more caring society.
