Dongdong and Ricky have previously been part of the Mnet K-pop talent hunt show Boys planet in which he was in g-group featuring international trainees. Though they couldn't make it into Zerobaseone the k-pop group formed in the show, they garnered a huge fanbase. Their agency began planning the formation of the Racebace group.

Dongdong Jelly Ricky and Junhan joined Chuang asia s2. Jelly and Ricky were eliminated in the first elimination ie. ep 6. Gao Junhan got eliminated in the episode 9 and ranked 22. Dongdong got into the finals of Chuang asia but was ranked 11 due to which he couldn't be part of the debut group NexT1de consisting of Dorn Thi-O Xiong Huyetao YaoZihao Omar and Shen.
Float and He Xilong participated in Starlight Boys. He Xilong was eliminated in the 10th episode ie the final episode of the show.
Float is former member of thai pop group Hashtax. Gao Junhan is former member of Un24.
