The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde (Aristocrats Cover)

Описание к видео The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde (Aristocrats Cover)

My cover of this really great Aristocrats song. Contrasted with my attempt at Spanish Eddie, I can tell you the solo in this one might as well have been performed by a totally different guitar player. That's Guthrie for you.

This performance is dedicated to anyone who has ever had their music gear stolen. I've had drum gear stolen after a gig and I will never forget how upset and empty that made me feel, especially since I had zero money at the time and was playing for free. You just don't do that to a musician! Our gear is both our working tools, and beautiful items that we take pride in. Look into the backstory of this song as told by Bryan Beller and you'll understand.

Gear:
Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 60's neck strung with 8.5 D'addario strings (per the official description of the recording setup)
Fender Bassbreaker 15 on the lowest gain structure setting
TC Polytune - MXR Super Comp - Fulltone OCD - MXR Carbon Copy Delay
Swiss Picks

In memory of Mike Lull, Seattle-based luthier, 1954-2020. I didn't know Mike, but his legacy is in the bass tones of a lot of the great music I love so much.
