Verses 61–62: Allah’s Knowledge and Awareness

Nothing escapes Allah’s sight—not even the smallest detail.

Every action, every step, every hidden intention is fully recorded in a clear Book.

The verse highlights Allah’s all-encompassing awareness: whether you are engaged in any matter, reciting Qur’an, or doing deeds, He is witness.

Transition: from this, Allah affirms the special status of His close servants, the awliyā’ (friends of Allah).

Verses 63–64: The Friends of Allah (Awliyā’)

Who are they?

Those who believe (īmān).

Those who live in God-consciousness (taqwā).

For them: no fear (for the future) and no grief (over the past).

They receive glad tidings in this life (peace, inner contentment, and sometimes victory/help) and in the Hereafter (Paradise).

This promise is unchangeable—Allah’s Word is truth.

Verses 65–67: Refuting the Mockers

The Prophet ﷺ is reassured: don’t let the speech of the disbelievers grieve you.

All honor belongs to Allah alone. He hears and knows everything.

Refutation of shirk (associating partners with Allah):

Allah created the night for rest and the day for visibility.

Yet people take partners besides Him, despite knowing His signs.

Verses 68–70: The Folly of False Claims about Allah

The disbelievers claimed: “Allah has begotten a son.”

Allah is exalted above such lies.

He is free of need; everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. No proof exists for their false claims.

Warns that those who fabricate lies against Allah will not succeed.

They may enjoy temporary worldly benefits, but in the end they will return to Allah, where they will face severe punishment for their inventions.

Allah’s complete knowledge and justice, the honor and safety of His friends, and the ultimate failure of those who lie against Him. It contrasts the eternal glad tidings for believers with the fleeting illusions of worldly life for deniers.
