Webinar #2: The Sentinel Hub APIs

This is the second webinar in a series dedicated to the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE), launched in January 2023 as a next step in the evolution of Earth Observation data services. The CDSE replaces the Copernicus Open Access Hub which ceased operations in November 2023 and the DIASes.
The Application Programming Interface (API) is an intermediary that allows applications to access the features or data of another application or system. The Sentinel Hub APIs allow users to process satellite data and integrate it into their own applications.

William Ray, CDSE Remote Sensing Engineer provides an overview of the various Sentinel Hub APIs provided by the CDSE, and their functionalities, including the Processing API, the Catalog API, and the Statistical API.

He demonstrates the APIs using Jupyter Notebooks and the Request Builder app and will discuss other APIs available for users who wish to scale up their workflows to larger areas.
