Did you know that students and citizen scientists are making environmental observations, collecting data, and entering them into a global database that is accessible by other students, and STEM professionals from all over the world?
The GLOBE program (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) is a NASA funded earth science initiative that has created an incredible community in over 120 countries working toward one goal: contribute to our understanding of the Earth system and global environment.

Our TEDx Speaker Dr. Tony P Murphy currently manages and directs the GLOBE Implementation Office in Boulder Colorado as part of The GLOBE Progam. He has been involved with GLOBE since it was launched in 1995 and has taught science and science education in numerous settings as a teacher and professor. He grew up in the shadow of Killarney National Park in Ireland which greatly impacted his career choice and life.
