Episode 5 of ABO Desire was STRESSFUL in the best and worst ways.

The episode opens with Gao Tu sick, still abusing his suppressants, and already looking like he’s carrying the weight of the entire show on his back 😭

Meanwhile, Shen returns from his business trip, which we learn was him deliberately staying away during his rut because Hua Yong has pheromone issues and can’t be intimate unless he’s marked. Already complicated. Already messy.

We get some very isweet moments between Shen and Hua Yong, even though Hua Yong clearly has a fever and absolutely should not be at work. Predictably, he doesn’t come home that night… and Shen completely spirals.

Shen starts calling him nonstop, contacts his boss, and by the next morning has people actively searching for Hua Yong because he still hasn’t heard anything. Man is worried sick. This leads to Shen storming Sheng’s office, where things explode into a full-on fist fight. Alpha pheromones get released, which ends up hurting Gao Tu, who’s desperately trying to calm both alphas down.

Shen leaves still determined to find Hua Yong. Sheng, meanwhile, takes Gao Tu to the hospital, where the doctor gives Sheng a very intense talk… without actually telling him he’s an omega, which makes the whole conversation incredibly confusing.

Cut to the biggest shock: Hua Yong is chained to a bed somewhere, passing what’s being called his “rut” (not heat?!), which raises even more questions. He’s not an alpha, or Shen would have sensed the pheromones, so what is actually going on?!

Hua Yong tells Sheng to leave clues so he can be found, and a detective follows those breadcrumbs to a hotel. Meanwhile, Hua Yong is violently punishing his men for failing him and is furious with Sheng for hurting Shen during the fight. The detective overhears staff talking about alphas going in and out, blood, screams, and naturally Shen assumes Hua Yong is being abused during heat as punishment for stealing company information.

Except… plot twist. Hua Yong is actually Sheng’s boss, and he’s the one hurting the men, not the other way around.

So now the question is: if Shen truly falls for Hua Yong… what happens when he learns everything is built on lies?

This episode was pure chaos, I’m confused, emotionally invested, and still rooting for Gao Tu, who is absolutely the one suffering the most and deserves a happy ending.
