Student Solo Cross Country!! Road to Private Episode 31

This is an exciting episode as it represents my first ever flight with a mission in addition to training. I traveled to the beautiful Greenbrier Valley Airport (KLWB) in Lewisburg, WV on a solo cross country flight, as I had to work coverage of the PGA golf event at the Greenbrier Resort.

The episode is edited for time, but includes a lot of the navigation decisions, as well as cloud avoidance decisions that I had to make along the way, as the weather in the real world did not line up with what was being reported at the fields along my route.

Once in Lewisburg, they set me up for a tailwind landing, which I accepted, and bounced one in, but all in all this trip was a great learning experience. Stay tuned for part two of this trip (the return) coming later this week.
