Sotilaspoika "Boy soldier" is a poem from The Tales of Ensign Stål written by Johan Ludvig Runeberg. Fredrik Pacius composed a march for it.

The poem is about a poor orphan boy whose father, grandfather and great-grandfather have all fallen in the wars waged by Sweden: the father, who enlisted as a soldier at the age of 15, died in the Finnish War of 1808–1809, the grandfather in the Russo-Swedish War of 1788–1790 and the great-grandfather in the Russo-Swedish War of 1741–1743. The boy's mother had died of grief after hearing about the father's death. The boy is eagerly waiting to turn fifteen so he can enlist in the army and die for his country himself.
