John Constantine's & King Shark's Romance

King Shark & John Constantine, this is a relationship that surprised everybody, now John Constantine has been in relationships with both men & women in the comics, so King Shark being a guy isn’t surprising however he is a shark, who eats people, so that was very surprising. Now this isn’t actually canon in the comics but the now dead DCAMU, with their final instalment Justice League DARK: Apokolips War including a scene where the good guys go to make a deal with the Suicide Squad, one of which is King Shark, and while there John is talking with Raven about how it’s weird because his ex is there, with her presuming it’s Harley Quinn. Only for John to correct her that it was King Shark, who then winks at him implying they ended things on good terms, it’s a throwaway joke that has sparked something in fandom, it also has sparks something in toxic fandom calling this movie woke, despite the fact John has always been bi & in this very movie he’s in bed with Zatanna.
A Lot of people want to know when this was in canon in this universe, as we know it had to be pre Justice League Dark from 2017 because Zatanna & John end up together, while the Suicide Squad in Hell To Pay had yet recruited King Shark, so who knows. And we’re going with King Sharks comic origin which involved Superboy it would then have to have happened after Reign Of The Superman which in canon takes place after Justice League Dark.
