Amala Akkineni, actor and director of Annapurna College of Film and Media, discusses the changes in the entertainment sector during the pandemic and why she thinks there is a greater need for trained film professionals.

In this interview, she talks about writers' groups becoming a norm for screenwriting, using AI for learning and other new changes.

Reflecting on her career, she talks about the discipline inculcated by Bharatanatyam and how she approached her craft till Pushpak. Her projects in recent years such as Karwaan and Kanam/Oke Oka Jeevitham helped her observe the working methods of young filmmakers at close quarters and in turn share these with her film school students.
