How to display a reference image in Krita

Click the pin

Click "view" in the toolbar and make sure "show reference images" is checked

Click the "tool options" docker and then the plus below it

Select your reference image

You can adjust the opacity and saturation if you want to trace over the image

You can also scale and move the reference image. (If you want to interact with the reference image just remember to click the pin first)
