Join us for a conversation with Belen Medina, author of Daughter of the Light-Footed People, which release in June 2024. Belen's picture book tells the story of Lorena Ramirez, a ultra-marathoner who competes in the traditional garb of her community, the Rarámuri.

We talk about how she came across this remarkable story and the process of molding it into a picture book narrative. We also talk about the experience of having her words illustrated with gorgeous work by Natalia Rojas Castro.
