Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji with #GurudwarasahibManikaran
In 1574 A.D., Sh. #GuruNanakDevji visited this place
With his two disciples, Bhai Bala Ji and Mardana ji.
Mardana ji was hungry, there was ration
But no source or fire to cook food
Guru ji directed him to cook chapatti
Remove one boulder from where hot spring emerged
When Mardana ji put rotis inside, all sank!
Then, Guru ji directed him to put one roti
In the name of the Supreme Lord
That roti started floating on hot spring
Mardana ji got happy & Guru ji sermonized him
With the help of God’s name
Even the sunk things start floating
The main credit to building’s modern architecture
Goes to Shri Sant Baba Narain Hari Ji
Who alone took initiative to build this structure
Way back in the year 1940
Later, Sant Baba Narain Hari ji discovered
and founded this place to spread religious affairs.
Mandi’s King requested Shri Guru Gobind Singh to visit Mandi
With 5 pyare, Shri Guru Gobind visited Manikaran
This a 7-storey building of Gurudwara Sahib
Around 3 to 4 thousand devotees can stay here
No foundation was dug of this building
No engineer, or architect was employed here
Entire structure has been built by Baba ji himself
Sarovar at Manikaran is full of healing properties
Devotees take a holy dip in these sarovars
There are 2 sarovar, one is inside the complex
And other sarovar is in the open air
Within the Gurudwara complex, near the sarovar
Lies the Hot Cave that has healing properties
Room number 3 is located at the lowest floor
Hot caves are used to treat
Cold, arthritis, and pneumonia patients
Patient should better come out of the cave
If they feel uncomfortable or sick inside the cave
After taking hot bath, devotees sit here
As cave is said to have healing properties
This hot water after cooling is drunk by patients
To heal their diseases. However, this process
needs some time and patience of around
10 to 15 days to get effective results & benefits
All facilities including food, medical, accommodation
Are provided at free of cost to all devotees
