Ratan Tata died at a Mumbai hospital late on Wednesday (October 9, 2024). The chairman emeritus of the Tata Group was 86.

Tata was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai on Monday (October 7, 2024) owing to age-related issues and to control his blood pressure.

Ratan Tata’s body will be taken to the Worli crematorium for the final rites, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah attending on behalf of the Central Government. Prominent figures, including Union Minister Piyush Goyal and leading business leaders like the Ambanis, are also expected to be present to pay their last respects.
