This class will take you through the process of a traditional techniques call Slentre Braid or Viking Finger Weaving.


Participants will start with a three loop braid, creating a cord that has many purposes - draw strings for bags, lacing for garments, cords for necklaces and bracelets.


After the 3 loop we'll move on to a 5 loop and, if time permits, a 7 loop.


Attendees will need to have 3 to 7 colors of #3 or 5 perle cotton or embroidery floss, some basic twine like you'd get at the hardware store, scissors, and a warping peg or the leg of a table to tie off to.
