Michael Zehr: ‘Stepper’ motor from Amazon for slow turning (Michael’s example is a ‘Greartisan’ model, with discussion regarding transformers, mounting pieces on the motor, etc.

Mike Golka: Mike used Fusion 360 to produce a raised quail design on a vase, then finished using epoxy on a slow-turning spindle.

Barry Price: Barry turned a piece of junkyard (unspalted at the time) copper beech that became heavily naturally spalted by the time he turned it, then finished with Waterlox.

Jim Duxbury: Jim shows a nice sycamore bowl and an ash bowl, plus a square-
necked/opening vase (how’d he do that???).

John Kelsey: Thanks to helpful input from the coffee hour turners, John crafted an indexing wheel. One suggestion for creating various indexing angles is to go to ‘incompetech.com’ to create a polar graph printout.

Ken Vasko: Ken asks if beech is particularly prone to spalting and rotting…apparently so per the responses.
