This was a day hike up to Mt Baldy via the ski hut trail on Jan 20th, 2023. I saw Search and Rescue helicopters looking for the actor Julian Sands, and then later again for another hiker who got injured by the San Antonio falls. I turned around at about 9,000 feet elevation since it was too icy, loose, and steep. Going up was doable but coming down would be scary even with crampons and ice ax. So much snow!
