Ohio 4-H board member and national clinician Terry Myers explains the Ohio 4-H and American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA) rules for ranch riding classes. It is recommended to have a back cinch and breast collar on your horse when riding for safety purposes in case your saddle slips. Keep silver and other “blingy” items to a minimum – work saddles and plain button up shirt are encouraged in ranch riding.
