California Dream For All – Program Description

The California Dream For All program is a state-backed homebuyer assistance program designed to help first-time buyers overcome one of the biggest barriers to homeownership: the down payment.

This program provides shared appreciation down payment assistance to eligible buyers, allowing them to purchase a home with significantly less money out of pocket. Instead of a traditional loan, the state invests alongside the buyer, helping cover a portion of the down payment and closing costs in exchange for a share of the future appreciation when the home is sold or refinanced.

The goal is simple: make homeownership more accessible for Californians who can afford the monthly payment, but need help getting into a home.
