The AcuRite Optimus is here! This is the latest Acurite weather station, more than five years in development!

And there's not much longer to wait; shipping begins next week. Always nice to have something announced and not have to wait a year for it! :)

We take you through it in this reaction/preview video. And as you'd expect, the Optimus is affordable, with standard features like lightning detection that are becoming more common in home weather stations.

We were a bit disappointed by the AcuRite Atlas, so we're hoping that our positive first impressions end up playing out in a real world review. You'll want to watch this if you're looking to upgrade your AcuRite weather station!
