You asked for it! The simple guide here is as follows:

1) Don't play them if you don't understand them. Play a melody instrument.

2) Minimize movement and maximize you renergy usage: Don't overplay polkas. The melody players are going to handle that. you chill out and make sure the focus on the off-beat.

3) Be kind to your body when you play. Try to keep a straight wrist as much as possible. If you play a bent wrist, I seriously suggest you learn another mothod to play polkas without a bend wrist.
