古事記　国ゆずり神話の伝承 真冬の日本海で水の掛け合い 美保神社 諸手船神事 Mythical folklore MIHO Shrine - Morotabune Shinto Ritual

諸手船神事は、美保崎におられる事代主神(ことぬしのかみ)が父神である大国主神(おおくにぬしのかみ)から国ゆずりの相談を受ける様を儀礼化した祭りです。

【国譲り神話】
太古の昔、天照大御神(あまてらすおおみかみ)さまは孫の瓊瓊杵尊(ににぎのみこと)に、豊葦原水穂国(地上界を指すとされている)を治めさせようとお考えになり遣いを送られました。
そしてこの国を治めている大国主神に国を天神(あまつかみ)の御子に譲るかどうかを問いました。
大国主神は少し考える様子でしたが、自分の子供が良いというのであれば、と答えました。
大国主神は息子の一人である美保崎の事代主神の元に遣いを送り国譲りをするかどうかを問うのです。

神事の中では、二隻の諸手船に乗船した氏子衆が大国主神の遣いです。
そして、岸で待つ宮司が事代主神という役割です。お互いに問答を掛け合い、合拍手をして国ゆずりを了承します。

太古の神話を今に伝える美保神社の世界をお楽しみください。

A festival in which Kotoshironushi in Mihozaki is ritualized to receive consultations on Kuniyuzuri from his father, Okuninushi.

【Myth of KUNIYUZURI】
In ancient times, Amaterasu Omikami sent a messenger to his grandson, Ninigi no Mikoto, to rule over Toyohashihara no Mizuhokuni (which is said to refer to the earthly world).
Messenger asked the Okuninushi no Kami, who governs this country, whether to hand over the country to the Son of Amatsukami.
Okuninushi seemed to think a little, but answered if his children was good.
Okuninushi no Kami asks whether to send a messenger to Kotoshironushi no Kami in Mihozaki, one of his sons, to transfer the country.
In this ritual, the people on board the two ships are the messengers of Okuninushi.
And the priest who waits on the shore is the role of Kotoshironushi.
We ask and answer questions, applaud each other, and approve Kuniyuzuri.
