FBRC 2023-118 "SANTIKAS" GRADUATION CEREMONY


The National Fire Training Institute, Region V Satellite Campus, is known for its prestigious and nationally competitive high standard of training. The FIRE BASIC RECRUIT COURSE started on the year 2017, with its pioneer batch CLASS SINAG-TALIM with a total of 197 Fire Trainees from various regions. Followed by CLASS KADASIG year 2018 with a total of 297 Fire Basic Trainees from different regions. In the same year, CLASS LARAB with a sum of 349 Fire Basic Trainees from several regions. Last February 2022, Class ORAGON graduated with a total of 272 Fire Basic Trainees from Bicol Region. Followed by Class KAALAB with 226 trainees from region 5, 6, and 8. And now, the Philippine Public Safety College – National Fire Training Institute, Region V Satellite Campus will once again strive to produce the finest firefighters in the country through Class SANTIKAS with the strength coming from four different regions to wit: Region 5, Region 6, Region 7 and Region 8. Class SANTIKAS is composed of 65 Females and 195 Males with a total number of 260 Fire Basic Trainees.

Clustering the recruits, the class established 6 companies; namely, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo and Foxtrot. Through the leadership and cooperation of the elected class officers, headed by the Class President F/T DIVINE GRACE TORRES, and the appointed regimental officers, headed by the Regimental Commander F/T MAC JERIC PIANO, the Fire Recruits have convened and concurred to name their class as “SANTIKAS” – meaning “SAMAHAN NA TUTULONG AT ILILIGTAS ANG KABABAYAN SA ANUMANG SAKUNA” – guided by the principles of competence, honor, strength and valor in the fire recruits’ commitment to the delivery of public service as professional firefighters.
