An experience is born when a company intentionally uses services as the stage, and goods as props, to engage individual customers in a way that creates a memorable event. Today, experiences have become distinct economic offerings giving birth to this new form of economy, the experience economy. Future of the service industry is an economy in which many goods or services are sold by emphasizing or bringing out the effect they can have on people’s lives.

In her talk, Sonal introduces the concept of experience economy and how the trend is growing among the masses. She takes us through the process of curating the right experiences for the consumers in the food industry and ways to keep up with the evolving market. From identifying the gap in the industry to defining your USP(unique selling proposition), Sonal talks about it all. We also hear about how such businesses not only provide a one-time experience for the consumers but promote a culture and a lifestyle as a whole.

Later, Sonal gives away a few tools and means that brands can use to connect with their consumers and instill trust. Lastly, she discusses the changing mindset of consumers and the future of the experience economy in the food industry.
