WHY SOUTH AFRICAN EXPATS ARE COMING HOME!

Over the last 6 months or so, there’s been a significant number of South Africans, who are living abroad, enquiring about coming back home.

This isn’t an episode ye Khumbul’Ekhaya, but actual observations from Tax Consulting SA who have noted expatriates coming back to South Africa despite the many challenges we complain about.

Expats from the #UnitedKingdom,# Ireland, and #Germany, as well as the Middle East and the #UnitedStates are finding out that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side due to various factors such as the cost of living; high inflation; strict regulations and even the weather.

#SouthAfrica for all its challenges, still offers opportunities for both personal and professional growth due to its strategic location as the gateway to Africa, advanced banking initiatives, and a relatively “business-friendly regulatory environment on the continent”.

The country is a relatively cost-effective and attractive destination for entrepreneurial ventures and foreign investors looking to capitalize on the continent’s potential.
