At Protocoding, we just hired a new employee, but it’s not a developer, designer, or salesperson.

It’s a Mac Studio.

In this video, I walk through how we’re using a Mac Studio as an internal AI agent to help with proposal generation, software scoping, SEO audits, architecture planning, and developer support, all running locally on hardware we own.

Instead of relying on cloud AI tools that charge per request and require sending proprietary client data to third-party servers, we’re running large language models in-house to create a shared intelligence layer for our consulting workflows.

This allows our team to:

Generate accurate software estimates

Scope custom dashboards and mobile apps

Assist with internal development decisions

Improve onboarding and documentation

Analyze client websites for performance and SEO issues

All without exposing sensitive client information externally.

We’re turning this Mac Studio into a team inference server that supports both our sales and engineering teams, helping us move faster from discovery to implementation while maintaining consistency across proposals and delivery timelines.
