Changwon Ridgeline Hike | Changwon (창원)

This is a gorgeous hike and we recommend it for anybody who would love a ridge line hike with some ocean views!

The beginning of the hike is pretty uneventful, with a 4 km climb straight up the mountain, but when you get to the ridgeline, this hike is awesome!

We started at Seongjusa Temple (성주사). You can easily get to this temple from Changwon by bus. We suggest downloading Naver Maps so you can figure out the best bus to take. You will be dropped off along a main rode near the base of some mountains. You should see brown signs that will verify you are on the right road for Seongjusa Temple. We walked about 2 km to the temple. You will see a few brown sign posts as you get closer to the temple. Look for ones that point you toward Bulmosan (불모산). You will need to backtrack a few minutes from the temple to the trailhead once you are done exploring the temple.

Also, we suggest downloading Kakao Maps as well. Naver Maps does not have trails on their maps, but Kakao Maps does, which will also help you navigate your hike along the way.

We hit three peaks on this hike; Bulmosan (불모산), Ungsan (웅산), and Shirubong (시루봉).

This hike would be a bit of a challenge for somebody who has never done a hike in Korea before, but would be doable, just give yourself plenty of time. If you have experience hiking before, this hike will be great!
