The Bosnian capital has been hit by intense mortar shelling.
Bosnian Serbs and government troops resumed heavy fighting after a U-S diplomatic push toward peace failed.
United Nations officials said the shelling appeared to be the most intense since last week's two-day bout of fighting, recorded as the heaviest in several years.
Like last week's fighting, Wednesday's outburst appeared concentrated around Debelo Brdo, the heavily fortified hillside south of downtown Sarajevo where enemy trenches are sometimes separated by sometimes less than 100 meters.
Initial reports shortly after the shelling began said at least five people were wounded.
The injured were taken to Kosovo Hospital in Sarajevo.
U-N officials said Bosnian Serbs took three large calibre weapons from a U-N-controlled collection point near the city before the fighting began - the latest in a rash of almost daily raids on such depots.
