Whenever they enter the gym, they do so as a unit, decked out in T-shirts proclaiming their mantra: "Souljas Vs. Everybody." In games, they've got one of the quietest coaches in Roland Jones, but they've got the loudest bench. They celebrate every shot and every stop. They argue every call – and I mean every call, even the ones that go their way. To a man, they are all in on every possession and they all carry the same chip on their shoulders… the biggest one at the Drew. When the Souljas take the floor, they don't have any friends, just a band of brothers hunkering in a foxhole for the fight of their lives.

As a team, it'd be easy to overlook how dangerous they are – and a mistake, as they'll be quick to remind you. Their offense is a Rube-Goldberg machine of cause and effect, pick and roll, constant motion, until they find the open shot or the perfect angle to ram the ball down their opponent's gullet. They're a nightmare to defend; shut down the tip of the spear, MVP candidate Chris Allen, a human dynamo of economic movement and pure scoring energy, and he'll just hand the keys to the offense to Marcus Williams, aka Mr. Iso, whose nickname is as misleading as it is descriptive. Sure, he can take you off the dribble. But with deadeye shooters at every position (and I mean every position), why would he?

Let's say you manage the perimeter defense required to shut down sharpshooters Mike Bethea, Dashawn Gomez, Chris Copeland, and Trey Williams. That's when they bully you with Eli Scott and Darnell Jackson. So you pack the paint to mitigate the damage. Oops, here's Kwahmere Gredric, barreling down the lane for an unreal layup to make you regret it. And all that's without their not so secret weapon, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who's yet to play a minute this summer but has been their ace up the sleeve all along. They are a well-armed platoon that doesn't believe in retreat. Two seasons ago, they came close enough to the championship they could almost taste it. This summer, they won't settle for anything less than victory.
