The 75th Cannes Film Festival opened on May 17. There was already a photocell of the jury and the international stars walked the red carpet. Cannes Film Festival is held from May 17 to 28.

The festival traditionally features one of the most glittering red carpets in the world. Indeed, the number of designer gowns and artful outfits can only be rivaled by the Oscars and the Met Gala.

During the festival, stars travel from Hollywood to climb the red carpet steps, showcasing their finest costumes and gowns, which are often custom couture. After the Cannes Festival was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic of the previous years, Cannes is back in full force. This year, the stars are ready to show the world again what true glamour is all about.

This year the festival jury was headed by French actor Vincent Lindon. The jury also consists of British actress and producer Rebecca Hall, Indian actress Deepika Padukone, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" star Noomi Rapace, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca and directors Asghar Farhadi, Laj Lee, Jeff Nichols, and Joakim Trier.

The 75th festival will be the last for festival director Pierre Lescure, a journalist and broadcaster who held the post for many years and is retiring. He will be succeeded by Iris Knobloch, who is the first woman to be elected to the position. Previously Iris Knobloch was the CEO of Warner Bros.
