Next up in the NBA 2K14 Retro Series, we're flashing back to the 1960s! Bill Russell leads his Boston Celtics, in the midst of their dynasty, against Jerry West and the Los Angeles Lakers. The footage may be grainy and in black and white, and the audio quality isn't the best either, but make no mistake: the early greats knew how to hoop, and their clashes were defining moments in the decades-long rivalry between the Lakers and Celtics!

The NBA 2K14 Retro Series is a celebration of NBA history, featuring classic matchups and famous games being re-played with the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K14. Post-production effects and an era-specific commercial at the half are intended to evoke a feeling of finding an old game on VHS or DVD, and watching an original broadcast on a then-contemporary TV. Games are played with both the original classic teams, and makeshift classic teams created through the game's limited roster editing.
