Описание к видео @home I Handel flute and recorder sonatas Masterclass

Lisete da Silva Bull, of The Brook Street Band, and Tatty Theo, director of The Brook Street Band introduce the topic of the masterclass on G. F. Handel's flute and recorder sonatas. Lisete teaches the masterclass talking about the piece's context, background, how to approach learning them, articulation, ornamentation, interpretation and even dance steps!

The participants were:
Jessica Valiente (U.S)
Recorder Sonata in B flat Major HWV 377

Georgia Marriott (U.K)
Sonata i d minor HWV 367a

Jessica Valiente writes: "I'm a professional modern flutist based in NYC, and I work mostly in the arenas of jazz, Latin, and Brazilian music. But I've always had a passion for early music and historical performance practice, and I have been working hard at improving my recorder and traverso skills lately. The recorder I played in the class is a (415) Denner made by Friedeich von Huene."

Georgia Marriott writes: " I have loved playing the recorder since I was 5 - 47 years later that hasn’t gone away and I have had the great privilege of being taught by Lisete for many years. It was a challenge to play without continuo but made me think about this wonderful music in a different way. My recorder is by the French maker Vincent Bernolin and is made of resin A=415. "
