Installing Libreboot on a W500 with Quad Core Mod

How to install libreboot, perform the quad core mod and upgrade the BIOS chip on a W500. All of these steps should work on a T500 as there is almost no difference to the motherboard.

Here are the parts and tools I used:CH341A programmer
Another computer to use flashrom
Soldering Iron with Hot Air Station
QX9300
Thinkpad W500 (will also work on T500)
Crucial RAM 2 x 4GB (CT2KIT51264BC1067)
Winbond W25Q128FVSIG
