Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Curt 62" wide class five, universal weld-on two and a half inch hitch receiver with the brackets. Now this is a universal hitch that's designed for use on service body trucks and utility body trucks. They use these heavy duty universal side brackets, which are included, and these adjustable side brackets will slide along the hitch body to match exactly the width of your vehicle frame before being welded to the hitch. So you just put them in the position you need. You can see they have the cutoff to slide onto the tube.And again, you just slide them to whatever width you need for the vehicles frame.

These brackets are a quarter-inch thick and they fit frames from a minimum. They can come all the way into 18" all the way up to a maximum of 62", the bracket height. In other words, one Caesar mounted from the center of that mounting hole to the bottom is going to be nine inches. These are a nice black powder coat finished, both the brackets and the hitch body help resist rust and corrosion. And again, they are a strong, secure weld-on attachment.

It is solid construction for maximum strength and safety. Again, the specs on this, we mentioned the length of the hitch body, 62 inches. The tube is a three and a half inch by three and a half inch square tube, the receiver opening right up here is two and a half inches by two and a half inches.It does have safety chain holes or openings right here that you can hook your safety chains to. And the rating on this again is a class five. So it does have a maximum gross trailer, weight capacity of 20,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 2000 pounds.

And that all is listed right here, the capacity is right on the label. But again you just adjust the side brackets to whatever your vehicle frame width is, and then weld it all together and you end up having a class five, two and a half inch hitch receiver on your vehicle.
