Had this guitar in the shop for an input jack replacement and caught a wild hair and decided to order a cool looking hot rail humbucker pickup I found on Amazon.com for $14.97 or something to replace the single coil stratocaster pickup I had in the middle position on this guitar since high school (for those that don't know, a "hot rail" pickup is commonly used as a term for a double-coil "humbucking" pickup that is designted specifically as a replacement/upgrade that will fit in the same space on a guitar body or pickguard as a standard single coil pickup. I've used Seymour Duncan's, Dimarzio's, and Wilkinsons versions of them a lot, they all rock and with a simple push/pull or diode switch coil tap wiring scheme can be turned right back into great single coils on the fly).

The neck and bridge humbuckers are a pair of Gibson Burstbucker II's (amazing pickups!) and this guitar has always been my go to for more "Les Paul" type sounds, having never owned a proper LP with humbuckers before, so I figured having 3 humbuckers in a row would kinda differentiate it a bit from my Ibanez RG570 which has a Seymour Duncan JB/57 humbucker set with a USA Fender strat single coil in the middle position (more akin to a 3 pickup LP Custom than an Ibanez RG or [insert popular HSH superstrat model here], at least in my estimation)

All three pickups are active in this video, guitar is running into a Boss SD-2, a Dr J Lancelot (boost side only), and a Turbo RAT distortion clone pedal into a double sub octave preset on my Line 6 HXOne and then on into my Fractal AxeFXii set to a Mesa Mark 2 C++ model with fairly low onboard gain dialed in. 2 guitar tracks, one DI from Fractal, the other Fractal-poweramp-2x12 "Marshall" cabinet with a pair of #celestionspeakers and also headphone out from Fractal into a decent speaker system ; mic'd several feet away from at about equidistant length from both with a shure SM81 condenser to give the lead guitar an "amp in a live room" feel and offset the digital feel of the MIDI-keys played synth instruments/percussion that comprise the rest of the backing track with something "real". Thought it turned out kinda neat sounding, throw on those headphones or hookup that bluetooth speaker/car stereo for best results!
