If you want to temporarily deactivate your Facebook account, the app provides a straightforward way to pause your profile without permanently deleting it. Deactivating your account hides your profile, posts, and most of your activity from other users, but allows you to return at any time by simply logging back in.

Start by opening the Facebook app and ensuring you're logged into the correct account. Tap the menu icon in the top-right corner of the screen (three horizontal lines), then tap the gear icon to open your Settings.

Next, scroll down and tap on "Account Center." Within Account Center, select "Personal details," then tap on "Account ownership and control." Under this section, you'll find the option labeled "Deactivation or deletion."
