Скачать или смотреть Pac-Man Pocket Player Handheld Review! [Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack!]

Is this handheld worth 27 dollars? I think so. I find it really cool they include 2 of the more obscure games, however how good is the emulation really? Lets have a look, shall we?


Pac-Man - I think the emulation is decent on this one.The game plays well, no problem with the pad. There is some minor sound distortion and crackling (Intro theme and Intermission for example), but overall, it runs well. It appears to be a Genesis remake, from what most people say, so the sounds aren't 100% accurate. If you are a Pac-Man Die-hard like I am, then you will see several inaccuracies in the gameplay compared to the arcade (Ghosts scatter corners are flipped, minor pixel bleed, etc).

Pac-Panic - I'm surprised by how good the emulation is on this! The graphics are fantastic, the controls are great, and the audio is better than the other two. It still does crackle and distort, but nowhere near as much as Pac-Man and Pac-Mania.

Pac-Mania - I was excited at first about this game, but It really isn't that great. I never was a fan of the Genesis Pac-Mania in the first place, but the emulation on this one is downright crap. I still enjoy playing it despite it's many flaws, but I really do think that these could have all been polished out. Could have made for a neat way of playing Pac-Mania. First off, The sound. It's terrible! It crackled ever 0.005 milliseconds on the music, and itt's not very clear. The controls for whatever reason also aren't very responsive, which is something in the Pac-Mania Rom, because Pac-Man and Pac-Panic both work fine. You almost have to press harder to get it going in the right direction. Graphics are pretty good for it, The screen distortion is slightly more noticeable, but the colors are very vibrant and look great!

All in all, for 27 bucks it's a pretty good snag. Be aware though, Wal-Mart has started discounting these down to 15 dollars, (I think one is selling them for 13!!!) to make way for the 1Up cabs. If you are looking at buying this from Best Buy for the 40, Don't!!! It's not worth the 40 bucks. 15 - 27 is more than enough.
