Introduction by the participant:
“Hello everyone! My name is Maia-Gabriela. I firstly wanted to say that I am really grateful for becoming part of this wonderful project. I came here to have more knowledge about 3D modelling and also 3D sculpting. With the help of our amazing 3D modelling facilitator I’ve managed to do in a few days a chess piece that I am really proud of. My chess piece is the knight. As you can see it’s not an usual knight and that is because I only put the symbol that I thought would represent the horse better which was the horseshoe. For the base I used a cylinder and for the rest of the sculpture I intersected 3 cubes with different measurements. For the horse shoe I 3D modelled over a picture managing as hard as I could to make it look more realistically. As you can see it has unique details, two of the cubes are empty inside and the horse shoe is full of details, so that the chess piece can capture the player's attention as best as possible. With that being said I wanted to realize a sceptre with the symbol of the knight. For my sculpture I wanted to do something abstract because I like abstract art so that you can all imagine or name the piece according to your vision. In my vision this piece represents a Venus flytrap with an unique stem".

The goal of the project was familiarizing the participants with digital education, namely 3D modelling and increasing relevant competences to seek employment or to become entrepreneurs in this field.

The project consisted of facing the problem of low employability in youth and inspiring young people’s active involvement in entrepreneurial activities by developing skills in 3D modelling and raising awareness of this field as a solution for employment and self-employment.

Objectives of the project were: to introduce participants to all creative stages of 3D modelling; to increase the confidence of participants to engage in entrepreneurial activities using 3D modelling; and to raise the awareness of participants to entrepreneurial activities they can engage in by having 3D modelling skills.
