This is a challenge I have been meaning to try for a while - defeating the level 5 boss, Death, with only the whip. Death is easy if you use the holy water, but he is one of the most difficult bosses of all-time if you do not take the easy way. Using the whip only to defeat Death is so difficult because of the several scythes that constantly fly across the screen. The movements of the scythes are not very predictable, and clearing them out while also needing to get hits on Death is a strenuous balance to find. It is a great challenge to attempt if you have beaten the game several times and need a new angle to keep it interesting.
