Modi thanked Prime Minister Jafar Hassan for the airport reception, and Hassan described the visit as an opportunity to widen cooperation in economic, investment and technological fields. Modi met King Abdullah II, who praised decades of friendship and stressed a mutual commitment to advancing prosperity for both peoples.

Discussions focused on deepening economic engagement through trade facilitation, investment protection and increased private‑sector participation. Priority sectors identified included renewable energy—especially solar and green‑hydrogen projects—information technology, and pharmaceuticals, with India’s pharmaceutical capacity highlighted as a potential benefit for Jordan’s healthcare resilience. Both sides emphasised education and skills development, proposing expanded scholarships, vocational training links and university partnerships to bolster human capital.

Security and defence cooperation were addressed at a strategic level, with talks on capacity‑building, counterterrorism cooperation and intelligence‑sharing to tackle regional threats and transnational crime. Humanitarian and migration-management issues were also reviewed, with leaders underscoring coordinated responses to regional crises and adherence to international law and human‑rights norms.

Regional and multilateral matters featured on the agenda: King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s role in promoting stability and dialogue across the Middle East, while Modi reiterated India’s interest in constructive engagement and multilateral cooperation. Both leaders exchanged views on pathways to peace and the importance of joint action on security, climate resilience and development financing.

Officials signalled intent to convert political goodwill into concrete outcomes, preparing memoranda of understanding and technical agreements on trade, energy and technology. They proposed joint working groups to set time‑bound deliverables and measures to boost investment flows, regulatory cooperation and business facilitation to attract mutual private investment.

Cultural and people‑to‑people ties were highlighted as foundations of the relationship, with plans to expand cultural programming, tourism promotion and heritage cooperation to deepen mutual understanding and stimulate visitor flows. Both capitals indicated that follow‑up delegations, business forums and sectoral task forces would convene to translate summit commitments into projects.

Framed as an upgrade from historical ties to a pragmatic strategic partnership, the visit aimed to accelerate cooperation on trade, energy transition, technology and human development, using the 75th anniversary as a platform to set a forward‑looking agenda and maintain regular high‑level exchanges.
