Chana Palak Khasta 😍, a twist to everyone’s favourite street food. You should definitely try this for your next indulgent weekend meal with aloo sabzi. 🤤

I made this with US chickpeas @usapulses_india as they promise great quality and excellent taste. They are also a perfect go to food for anyone on a diet.

For the dough -
1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup sooji/semolina
Salt, to taste
1/2 cup spinach puree
Water, as required
For the stuffing -
1 cup chickpeas, boiled
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp ajwain/carom seeds
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tsp Amchur/Dry mango powder
Salt, to taste
Oil, as required to fry

Instructions -
Boil the soaked chickpeas with water and salt for about 5-6 whistles. Drain the water and keep the chickpeas aside to cool down. Once it cools down, pulse it and keep aside.
In a big bowl, add whole wheat flour, sooji, salt, spinach puree and water. Mix and knead a tight dough. Cover and keep it aside.
To make the stuffing, heat oil in a pan. Add ajwain, green chillies and cook for a few seconds.
Add chickpeas and cook until the moisture goes away. Break it using a spoon.
Add the spice powders, salt and cook for a few minutes. Once done, keep it aside to cool down.
Now stuff the spinach dough with the prepared masala and make pooris. Deep fry them until it puffs up. Serve with hot.
